Today I grabbed some big brushes, big tubes of paint and a big canvas (big for me anyway) and got to work. After working with such smaller canvases it was a nice change to get a little splashier with the paint, something I find more difficult to do when you're working with a small, confined canvas.

  1. Hi Rob love this composition! Excellently done. I like the way you caught the grayed glass area on the left side of the bowl. Also, I do think the apples are done real well. I also posted a large work, but an older one cause I am not feeling well today. I like the contrasting background in your painting too. Great job!

  2. Getting in touch with your innter Cezanne? Go for it! Colors and composition really work. Lovely!

  3. Rob...
Really nice! Love the composition and contrast!

  4. Rob, thank you for your kind words on my irises - I LOVE granny smith apples and you are the master. : ) thanks for the quotes, too, they are worth their weight in gold.
