Mini Triptych

Primarily Apples

Mini Triptych

3 @ 2"x2"

oil on stretched canvas

I came across these 2"sq canvases in my kids' craft box and thought I could use some tiny brushes to whip out a couple of quick apples. I'd like to do a larger painting with lots of apples so this was good practice.

  1. ooooooooooooh I love this! Excellent idea and super job on the apples! Love the slightly different stem placement and the poses that are in common. Yes, garage or antique and junk shops are good sources for still life material! Glass is fun and yet a bit confusing. yes, do one with just glass...I like the daffodil painting I did about a week ago...it has three tops of bottles of varying heights...dont even have to do whole bottles...yes do it!

  2. Great idea for a tryptych. I like the consistency in compositions. The apples are 'elegant.'

  3. I love these tiny canvases - I've painted 2, and about the time I decided to try some more, I can't find them anywhere! You did a great job on these.
